Gave his life to Jesus in a small country church in Kansas at the end of a puppet show during a children’s church program.
[Sounds romantic, right?]
Graduated High School and began first year of college in Wisconsin. Looked for fulfillment in football, girls, and the party scene.
[Never did find it.]
In the midst of rebellion God said, “I want to use you in something bigger than football.”
[God. Is. Good.]
Finished the second semester of football, fulfilling his commitment. Began serving in Campus Crusade For Christ on the worship and evangelism teams. Also served in the local church as a youth pastor, young adult leader, and worship team member.
[Busy year!]
Spent summer as a worship director for an international mission’s organization. Also snuck into a South American country illegally at nighttime by boat for first ever international missions’ trip. Lost sleeping bag somewhere in the Amazon River.
[That’s a true story…]
Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Received clear direction from God to launch a young adults ministry in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Pioneered the ministry with two people.
[Himself and one girl. Awkward.]
Jake and Abby met at one of the young adult small groups he was leading. Her second time back to the group he was able to lead her to Jesus.
[God. Is. Really. Good.]
Abby was baptized New Years Day, they began dating that day, were engaged April 23rd, and married August 6th. Immediately between the two of them they led three ministries: Youth, Young Adults, and Worship.
[God had told them both individually the very date they would be engaged. God likes spoiling surprises…]
Completed the first Christ For All Nations School of Evangelism after the passing of the great evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.
[This school completely altered the course of everything.]
Published his first book titled the 40-Day Transition.

The Lord told Jake & Abby to sell nearly everything and move in faith to Orlando, FL.
[We walk by faith and NOT by sight.]
